Lenovo Miix 520 rightly stunned us with its out of the box design and a compact performance within its parameters. Most of the functions operated smoothly and the build allowed us to play around with features in sundry ways. Some minimal drawback that comes with this Surface Pro laptop includes Intel Kaby Lake-U mainframe that Lenovo brought back with this model. A smaller screen of 12.2 inch and IPS panel caters every display need of any user with full HD Resolution of 1920 x 1200 in Lenovo Miix 520. We get a touchscreen option here that enables user a relaxed finger touch for using various applications or typing extensive documents themselves without any fixed condition. The brightness level and colour gamut are kept same as its previous version that was launched in 2016, so you don’t get any major improvements in its display. The exact same IPS panel being incorporated in Lenovo Miix 520 showcases the similar pixel density, colour accuracy and even the response times. Again, the viewing angles appear to be comfortable enough with the flexible display. The PWM tool is also added to adjust brightness levels but at the maximum point you can’t really monitor it thoroughly. 

Design – An attractive yet compact build

The design is the highlighting part of this laptop which encapsulates within aluminium chassis and a firm display. The hinges allow bending up to 150-degree, which is a reassuring tractability for vivid users. Weighing around just 1.2 kg, this build makes Lenovo Miix 520 a very portable choice for travelling consumers, who are always on the run for their digital tasks. The Intel core i3 generally is a mediocre processor that delivers sufficient speed and reliability. But, in its small size and combination of other features, the core-i3 here works beyond expectations. There is absolutely no disturbance while loading apps or streaming heavy files. You also witness 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, which is paired wisely across its other specifications. If you are a student, employee, a creative analyst or even a business man the Lenovo Miix 520 can work fine enough for you.

Battery –  Enough for the system?

The battery pack that comes with Lenovo Miix 520 is equipped with 38 Wh and it isn’t too appreciable but not disappointing as well, considering this convertible and affordable device. When this laptop is consecutively run on Wi-Fi, the battery lasts up to almost 6 hours and without internet, you can take it up to 7 or 8 hours.

VERDICT

Apart from a very salient display that strikes with IPS technology to provide you immersive viewpoints, the Lenovo Miix 520 processor capability is also worth the value. The fan here makes a bit of extra noise with its processing, but it is somehow manageable. All in all, we really liked how this laptop lets you work through it in diverse usage scenarios. With its sturdy, elasticated and spectacular build, that includes few noticeable features, we would like to rate it as one of the best Windows 10 tablet.
